About the Manager Position:

The Manager position is for experienced researchers. Subsequent roles include senior staff positions, including joining Analysis Group’s partnership. Core competencies of the Manager position include:

  • Develop and implement innovative analytical methods to address needs of the health care research community in the areas of health economics, outcomes research, biostatistics, and epidemiology.
  • Direct teams of professionals as they conduct research for clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries includes personalized medicine research, machine learning and NLP, comparative effectiveness research, cost-effectiveness analyses, and budget impact modeling.
  • Supervise case teams of Analysts and Associates as they conduct empirical research in healthcare and outcomes research: design research studies; identify issues; determine methods for finding and collecting data; guide data analytics; communicate findings.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to HEOR clients in executing research and developing future research studies.
  • Analyze and interpret data using mathematical models and biostatistical techniques.
  • Design and implement data-intensive mathematical models. Utilize data sources including insurance claims, clinical trials, medical records, registries, and surveys.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations, and disseminate research findings through conference presentations, peer reviewed publications, and media releases.
  • Guide formulation of economic and financial models for clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries.
  • Manage existing and new client relationships.

  • Either of the following:
    • A Ph.D. (preferred) in health economics, public health, biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, health policy, or related quantitative science field or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 4+ years of experience HEOR consulting.
    • A master's degree in health economics, public health, biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, health policy, or related quantitative science field or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 6-8 years of experience in HEOR consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • applying quantitative methods to real-world problems in health care research,
    • utilizing statistical software such as SAS, STATA S-PLUS, SPSS or R, and
    • managing teams of professional analysts and associates.
    • designing and conceptualizing healthcare studies.
    • supporting HEOR clients in multiple therapeutic areas within life sciences companies.
  • A track record of success in supporting business development efforts in HEOR consulting.
